The ESU-2400 electrosurgical unit analyzer from BC Biomedical, St Charles, Mo, now has an improved software package and a user manual. Using internal precision non-inductive test loads in the range of 0 ohms to 6400 ohms in 1-ohm increments. Engineers have added the capability to add an external load. Other new features include: an autosequence for ForceTriad preventive maintenance procedures; the option to select details or summary data when saving results to PDF files; an RS-232 terminal window that shows mA measurement and can set load. Design and workflow modifications help make the ESU-2400 easier to use. A new, secure autosequence allows users to freeze settings, so other users can’t modify then. A copy step function has been added to the autosequence configuration as well.
