Last December, the Florida Biomedical Society (FBS) elected a new leadership slate for 2014. The new officers include president-elect Carlos Villafane, CBET; president John Alvenus, CBET; past-president Frederick McMurtrie, CBET; secretary Bill Hascup; and treasurer Lou Katchis, CCE, CBET. FBS will be holding its first board meeting in April.
The FBS has also announced the relaunch of its website at fbsonline.net. According to the society, the overhauled site “is packed with improvements and new materials.” The FBS also requests suggestions for improvements to the site via email at [email protected].
