A new publication from Rigel Medical provides guidance on testing medical infusion devices and describes the operation and features of Rigel’s Multi-Flo analyzer.
“An Introduction to Infusion Pump Testing” covers the history of infusion pumps and features an easy-to-follow explanation of the different types of devices used to deliver an accurate, predetermined rate over a set period of time. The main section of the booklet provides advice and guidance on the various methods for testing infusion devices. It includes a review of common flow measuring principles: volumetric, mass, bubble tracking, pressured-based, and displacement.
The booklet also offers details about Rigel’s Multi-Flo analyzer, which the company says doubles infusion pump test capacity. The booklet is available to download as a PDF on the Rigel Medical website.
