The new tele-ultrasound system is said to give both doctors and technicians advanced capabilities that allow them to collaborate with primary care physicians and other healthcare personnel with real-time sharing of high-definition images.
According to RMT, the iMedHD2 Tele-Ultrasound System is HIPAA-compliant, and employs token security and end-to-end video encryption. The company says the live tele-ultrasound technology works with most popular browsers or mobile devices. Further, the iMedHD2 system allows for immediate informed diagnosis and decision-making, and is reportedly suitable for many fields, including cardiology, endocrinology, mammography, obstetrics, gynecology, gastroenterology, and urology, among others.
