The new ArtPix Mobile EZ2GO from Richardson Healthcare is a wireless digital radiography detector for mobile radiology units. According to an announcement from Richardson, all system functions are managed via a tablet and a wireless connection, including the ability to import a worklist, acquire an image, post process, and send final images to a PACS. The company reports that the new wireless digital radiography detector could replace traditional CR systems.

To create the ArtPix Mobile EZ2GO, Richardson Healthcare partnered with Thales, for its flat panel detector technology. The ArtPix Mobile EZ2GO features Thales’ Pixium 3543EZ and 2430EZ portable Wi-Fi detectors. According to the Richardson Healthcare website, the ArtPix Mobile EZ2GO’s digital imaging has been developed to offer low dose and diagnostic quality.

“Richardson believes EZ2GO is a game-changer in the DR market,” said Pat Fitzgerald, executive vice president and general manager of Richardson Healthcare. “It’s completely portable and can be used with any existing x-ray equipment.”

Fitzgerald reported that this product aligns with Richardson Healthcare’s objective to bring cost effective solutions to hospitals and other healthcare providers. For more information about the ArtPix Mobile EZ2GO, visit the Richardson Healthcare website.
