The annual symposium of the Washington State Biomedical Association (WSBA), previously to be held at North Seattle College, has changed venues. The March 28 event will now take place at the Embassy Suites in Lynnwood, Wash.
According to Chris Walton, WSBA treasurer, the move to the new venue was prompted by the association selling out its exhibitor spaces at the college. The exhibit hall will be open from noon to 1:45 pm.
The daylong conference is now set, with six presentations by well-known industry figures:
- “Measuring the Value of Clinical Engineering,” by Patrick Lynch, GMI, Charlotte, NC
- “Engaging the C-Suite,” by Valdez Bravo, VA Medical Center Portland, Ore
- “Career Guidance Updates,” by Patrick Bernat, AAMI
- “Utilization of Technology for Cost Reduction & Efficiency,” by Shane Criddle, Spacelabs, Snoqualmie, Wash
- “How to Perform an ACR-Compliant Ultrasound PM,” by Matt Tomory, Conquest Imaging, Stockton, Calif
- “Overview of MRI,” by DevinCasey, GE Healthcare, Waukesha, Wis
Lunch is included in the event, and attendance counts towards CBET certification (certificates will be provided). As with WSBA members, the $25 registration will also be waived for members of the Oregon Biomedical Association.
