Canon U.S.A. Inc. and Virtual Imaging Inc. recently debuted a new Canon series of CXDI digital radiography (DR) detectors at the 2017 Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA) show in Anaheim. Canon U.S.A. showcased the new CXDI-710C wireless and CXDI-810C wireless digital radiography detectors, the latest version of the CXDI Control Software NE, and Virtual Imaging’s solutions.

The new lightweight wireless detectors are ergonomically sculpted and designed with rounded corners to allow users to grip the device comfortably and help position them easily in their workspace. The CXDI-710C and CXDI-810C detectors have both been rated IPX7.

Made exclusively for use with Canon digital radiography systems, CXDI Control Software NE helps to optimize work?ow and reduce the steps needed to complete exams. Among the new features included with the software are compatibility with Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 operating systems, support for McAfee VirusScan Enterprise and AntiSpyware Enterprise 8.8, Windows Defender and ESET Endpoint Antivirus 6.3 software, and shock detection recording and reporting.

Canon CXDI detectors purchased from Virtual Imaging are automatically enrolled in Protection Plus Point of Sale for the first year. With this program, the purchased detector is safeguarded against drops and liquid infiltration. With all detector repairs done in the United States by Canon-trained engineers, the turnaround time and communication is designed to be convenient, cost-effective, and fast.
