Fishers, Ind.-based medical equipment sales and repair company Probo Medical, LLC, has acquired Harrisburg, Pa.-based Trisonics, Inc. With this acquisition, Probo Medical will have an extensive ultrasound service division to complement its current ultrasound equipment sales and refurbishment departments.

Trisonics will continue to operate under its current name, with the same service team providing for its customers. Trisonics’ CEO Jen Riner will join the Probo Medical leadership team, however. To Riner, the acquisition is a win-win for both companies. “Trisonics had a lot of options when looking for a partner, but Probo provided the perfect combination of growth, industry experience and vision within our consolidating industry,” she says.

David Trogden, president of Probo Medical, also spoke out about the acquisition, commenting: “Trisonics is a great company and we’re thrilled to have them join the Probo Medical family of companies. The Trisonics team is one of the most experienced in the industry and will add tremendous value to our collective business.”

Established in 2014, Probo Medical’s family of companies includes ultrasound probe operations in Fishers, Ind., and Tulsa, Okla.; ultrasound system sales via its MedCorp office in Tampa, Fla..; and ultrasound service and sales throughout the eastern United States under Trisonics. Probo Medical is also a portfolio company of Varsity Healthcare Partners.
