Here at the Portland VA in Portland, Oregon, we have sent out little flyers on several occasions.  Last year this garnered us a big tub full of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies from our loving ICU nurses.  So far this year, it has garnered us lots of friendly praising emails and hugs.

We like hugs!

I coordinated from our top vendors to cater in a meal for each day of the week, and invited them to attend. Some attended, but for the most part they just paid the bill for local food joints to bring in food for 7 of us. They also send vendor fair giveaways ie hats, pens, post-its, coffee mugs in advance so I could give them out on their sponsored day. On 2 of the days, i had our boss come down and pass out very nice flashlights that i had purchased and had engraved with each techs name. The next day the CEO came down and handed out shop polo shirts with our names and section embroidered on them. All in all it was a good week.
