Making Multivendor Service Work for You |
| |
by Laura Gater |
| |
Various healthcare regulatory agencies require that, in essence, every healthcare
facility shall have in place a program to assess and control the clinical and physical
risks associated with the use of medical equipment regardless of ownership.
Generally, BMETs provide the first line of defense in that battle. But when the in-house
battalion needs reinforcements, it calls in an outside regiment. Lasting peace, not just
truce, comes to those who manage multivendor relationships successfully. |

2002 Compensation Pulse Check |
| |
by Marie S. Marchese |
| |
24x7 played the numbers recently the Pulse Check numbers, that is, with readers
responding to the magazines annual request for compensation information. This latest round appears to continue a trend noted two Pulse Check surveys ago:
Starting salaries for new recruits are not only eclipsing the paychecks of those who have
been in the field for a half-dozen years, but they are closing in on the salaries of BMETs
with 10 or more years experience. |
