ScopeMeter 190 Series Oscilloscopes
Distributor Contact East now carries the Fluke ScopeMeter 190 Series oscilloscopes,
available in five models. Depending upon the model, features include independently
floating isolated inputs; a memory of 27,500 points per input; automatic capture and
replay of 100 screens; 26 automatic waveform measurements; waveform math; cursors; zoom;
and real-time clock. Models 199C and 196C offer a high-resolution screen for easy
identification of individual waveforms and Digital Persistence mode, which helps to find
anomalies and to analyze complex dynamic signals by showing the waveforms amplitude
distribution over time with multiple intensity levels. For further information, call

UPS for PACS, Telemedicine
Tripp Lites (Chicago) new OmniSmart 350 HG is designed to protect medical networks,
PACS and telemedicine solutions, as well as nurses stations and computer installations. As
with most of Tripp Lites medical-grade products, the OmniSmart 350 HG features
built-in isolation transformers with Faraday-shield to reduce the cumulative leakage
currents of all connected equipment below 300 microamps. Other features include 350 VA of
battery backup during blackouts and automatic voltage regulation (AVR), to keep equipment
working through brownouts. One RS232 communication port allows for complete management and
control of UPS functions, including unattended system shutdown. The OmniSmart 350 HG is
certified for use in both the United States and Canada. For additional information, call

Illuminance/Luminance Meter
Gigahertz-Optik Inc. (Newburyport, Mass.) introduces the X9-1 hand-held photometer for
measuring the ambient illuminance (lux) and the projected luminance (cd/m_) levels of
medical image display boxes, such as mammography view boxes. Features include automatic
detector recognition, snapshot hold function and RS232 interface for remote control and
data transfer. Coupled with the VL-3704-4 illuminance detector, the X9-1 provides
measurements auto-ranging from 0.01 to 199999 lux. Used with the LDM-9901-4 luminance
detector, the X9-1 offers photometric brightness test capability from 0.05 to 199999
candela per square meter. For more information, call Gigahertz-Optik at (978) 462-1818.
