CT PERFORMANCE PHANTOM
Syncor Radiation Management (Cleveland) is offering Nuclear Associates CT
Performance Phantom. Designed to evaluate nine parameters of CT scanner performance, the
phantom consists of an 8 1/2-inch diameter acrylic tank containing a beam-width insert, a
spatial resolution and line spread block, a high-contrast insert and a means for inserting

DIGITAL POTENTIOMETER
Analog Devices (Wilmington, Mass.) introduces the AD5263 digital potentiometer, a
+15-volt, quad channel, 256-position potentiometer with digital interface. Each of the
four channels in the AD5263 contains a fixed resistor (20k, 50K or 200k ohms) with a wiper
contact that taps the fixed resistor at a point determined by the digital code loaded into
its register. With a low temperature coefficient of 50 ppm/0C, the digital potentiometer
is used for a variety of applications, including optical network laser diode adjustment.
