Transducers

 Lighter, Smaller Transducer
GE Medical Systems’ Micro 4D transducer addresses the ergonomic needs of clinicians everywhere. The Micro 4D is one-third lighter and smaller than all other 4D transducers on the market and maintains technical leadership with unmatched volume acquisition rate and image quality.

For further information about the Micro 4D transducer visit GE Medical’s Web site at www.gemedicalsystems.com, or call (800) 643-6439.

 Upgrade Package Includes New Transducer
Siemens Medical Solutions’ new PX4-1 matrix-array transducer for transcranial and abdominal imaging is included in the StellarPlus™ upgrade package for the SONOLINE Antares™ ultrasound system. The upgrade also includes the CH4-1 curved-array transducer with Hanafy lens acoustic technology for average-to-technically difficult patients.

For more information about the StellarPlus upgrade package, visit Siemens’ Web site at www.medical.siemens.com/ultrasound   or call (800) 498-7948.

 Transducer Features Superflex Cable Technology
Philips Medical Systems introduces the Explora family of transducers designed for use with the new Philips iU22 general imaging ultrasound system. The transducers, introduced in February, come equipped with lighter, more flexible cables that reduce operator strain and fatigue. Explora transducers’ low-loss lens design delivers more acoustic efficiency, allowing greater penetration and resolution with minimal artifacts. The transducers also feature broadband response with frequencies as high as 17 MHz, which allow users to image previously challenging patients providing never-before-seen detail.

For further information on the Explora family, visit Philips’ Web site at www.philips.com or call (425) 482-8961.

 Replacements for OEM Transducers
ARS replacement transducers from Sonora Medical Systems Inc are an inexpensive and reliable alternative to OEM probes.

This proprietary line of transducers replaces a variety of high-demand probes for half the OEM price. Equivalent to OEM probes in performance, the fully tested probes are guaranteed for 1 year.

The probes are “plug and play” compatible with their OEM counterparts and incorporate an ergonomic design to reduce the incidence of repetitive stress syndrome and other physiological problems associated with ultrasonography.

Constructed to ISO-9001 standards, the replacement probes are available for immediate delivery. Sonora ARS transducers are 510(k)-cleared and most are CE marked.

For more information about the ARS line of transducers, visit Sonora’s Web site at www.probedoctor.com or call toll free (888) 4SONORA (476-6672) or (303) 682-5871.
