Following a competitive process and analysis, University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) has selected AeroScout Inc, a provider of Wi-Fi active radio frequency identification (RFID), as one of two suppliers for systems and equipment asset tracking.
“We were impressed with the breadth of AeroScout’s offering, its leadership and reputation in the health care industry, and the number of UHC members that are already AeroScout clients,” said Cindy White, UHC VP of operations. “AeroScout is an ideal partner and we’re pleased to extend the benefits of AeroScout’s solutions to all of our members.”
UHC, an alliance of 103 academic medical centers and 191 of their affiliated hospitals, represents approximately 90% of the country’s nonprofit academic medical centers. UHC endeavors to advance knowledge, foster collaboration, and promote change to help members succeed in their respective markets.
As part of the three-year agreement, AeroScout will offer UHC’s US members a wide selection of solutions for asset management, equipment maintenance, condition monitoring (temperature, humidity), patient and staff safety, and workflow and resource management.
“Academic medical centers and community hospitals around the world, including many UHC members, rely on AeroScout’s solutions to operate more efficiently, comply with regulatory standards, and improve patient care,” said Gabi Daniely, VP of marketing and product strategy at AeroScout. “We are proud of our health care leadership position and look forward to building on the success we’ve already had with UHC organizations by serving even more of their members.”
