NPSF Brings Awareness to Patient Safety

The National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF) celebrates Patient Safety Awareness Week (PSAW) March 7 through 13.

In pursuing its one mission to improve the safety of the health care system for the patients and families it serves, the NPSF announces its theme for 2010 PSAW—“Let's Talk: Healthy Conversations for Safer Healthcare.”

The NPSF site offers toolkits designed to increase awareness, engagement, and education around critical issues impacting patient safety.

Also on its agenda is its 12th annual Patient Safety Congress scheduled for May 18 and 19 in Orlando, Fla, designed for health care executives, patient safety officers, risk managers, quality improvement directors, physicians, nurses, and more.

This year’s event will offer a new interactive simulation environment in the learning and simulation center. Find out more or register online.
