ASHE Conference Scheduled

The American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) and the American Institute of Architects Academy of Architecture for Health will hold an educational conference March 14 through March 17.

The conference, at the San Diego Convention Center in California, will bring together health care professionals responsible for the physical environment to discuss issues important to all hospitals and the patients and communities they serve, according to the release.

Speakers at the event will include Tom Daschle, former senate majority leader and author of Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis; Richard D. Umbdenstock, president and CEO, American Hospital Association; Jamie Orlikoff, president of Orlikoff Associates, senior consultant to the Center for Healthcare Governance, and national advisor on governance and leadership, American Hospital Association; and Chris Van Gorder, FACHE, president and CEO of Scripps Health Care.

The event will feature—among other activities—2010 Vista Award presentations, an infection control preconference seminar, numerous networking events, an exhibition hall with products and services, and the 2010 gallery of architecture for health.
