Siemens Launches New Pricing Plan for Imaging ServiceSiemens Healthcare announces its proactive plans, volume-based service contracts aligned with actual system usage that offer cost-effective service for angiography, computed tomography, and molecular imaging systems. For the first time, customers can align their service coverage with the volume of exams performed, providing them with Siemens’ contract offerings at a variety of budget levels, according to the release. The company offers a span of service options to meet an array of needs for customers operating any size imaging department—from 24-hour trauma centers to smaller community facilities. “Based on customer input, Siemens has combined our most popular offerings with a completely new selection of service plans based on exam volumes—a concept, which, until now, has been practically unheard of in the industry,” said Rick Legleiter, senior VP, customer service, Siemens Healthcare. “The proactive plans go beyond a repackaging of existing service offerings.” Proactive plans bundle all the standard coverage features along with Siemens’ most requested service options. For example, these plans include the Guardian Program, offering live remote monitoring by expert engineers in real-time to alert customers to potential problems before they happen. In addition, the new plans include varied after-hours service features, based on the plan level selected. “After a careful evaluation of our CT scan seconds, we were able to tailor our covered tube scan seconds based on the number of patients we examine,” said Margaret King, COO with Wake Radiology, Raleigh, NC. “The proactive plan in our service contract enables us to decrease our service costs and we are better equipped to deliver quality care to our patients.” SPONSORS
