2009 Compensation Survey Still a Hit

For a second time, our readers made 24x7’s 2009 compensation survey the week’s top read story on our Web site.

By anonymously polling a large selection of BMETs, clinical engineers, specialists, managers, and directors across the country, the annual survey gauges nationwide trends in compensation, benefits, job responsibilities, and overall satisfaction.

This year, more than 1,641 responded, showing an average salary for men of $65,770 and $57,934 for women.

The survey also breaks down the profession’s education-to-pay ratio and on-the-job perks, and discusses average workloads for biomeds across the nation.
