GMI Expands Service Offerings Through Acquisition

Global Medical Imaging LLC (GMI), Charlotte, NC, announces the acquisition of Trident Imaging Services, Houston, Tex. The two companies will combine to further expand their field service presence and broaden their scope of diagnostic medical imaging capabilities.

Through the acquisition, Trident Imaging Services—an independent service organization that offers ultrasound and nuclear imaging service and repair—will provide its customers with increased parts availability and repair capabilities for their medical imaging equipment.

Trident Imaging Services president and founder, Will Martinez, will continue to lead the Texas operation and conduct business out of the existing Texas location. “This is an opportunity to take our current operation to the next level as far as increasing our parts and repair capabilities as well as expanding the scope of equipment platforms we have full service capabilities on,” Martinez said. “By combining forces, we close the gaps for our customers and eliminate the need for them to go to more than one vendor to meet their ultrasound imaging needs. In the current economic environment, it is essential that we address the customers’ needs on every level by providing high quality, value-added options that are focused on their ability to be productive and profitable.”

“The talented people at Trident bring a lot to the table,” said Ryan Dienst, CEO at GMI. “Their experience, technical capabilities, and focus on customer service are what truly make this work. We are excited about the opportunity to integrate companies and resources to deepen our talent pool and expand our field service footprint in the Texas market. With our suite of comprehensive ultrasound services, including probe repair, parts, technical support, training, system sales, and field labor, we offer a very competitive ultrasound solution in this market. This is a critical step for us as we continue to fulfill our mission of ‘Lowering the cost of High Quality Healthcare.’ “
