PCT Wheels out the Rigel Med-eKit
The PCT uses dozens of medical devices such as patient monitors, defibrillators, and infusion devices. The devices are located at more than 280 sites, including 10 hospitals, in a geographical area spanning approximately 3,200 square miles. The Rigel Med-eKits will give the medical engineering department the ability to perform the tests more cost effectively and efficiently, according to the release. The Med-eKit features several different types of medical test equipment within a self contained, easy-to-transport package. PCTs operate within the framework of the Department of Health policy and are accountable directly and through local authority groups and to the Strategic Health Authority.
