The Santa Rosa Presents Webinar series, from Santa Rosa Consulting, will continue Wednesday July 28 with a presentation on integrating the data flow from bedside biomedical devices with clinical information systems.

Linda Chan, systems integration manager in the information services department at Virtua Health in Marlton, NJ, will present an overview of the strategy her organization developed to integrate medical device data with clinical information systems. Chan will cover the full planning process for a patient care device integration rollout, including asset inventory, workflow analysis, plant survey, and support structure assessment.

In addition to her work in IT, Chan also has professional experiences in the biomedical engineering field, namely in evaluating medical devices and providing consulting services to hospitals on medical device purchases, accident investigations, and FDA regulations.
