KLAS has recognized DR Systems and its Unity RIS-CVIS-PACS platform as the number 1 ranked overall PACS vendor and product in its “2011 Top 20: Best in KLAS Awards - Software & Services Report.”

Taking this honor for the second year in a row, DR Systems received ratings ahead of all other PACS providers. The award also marks the fifth time since 2001 that DR Systems has been ranked the number 1 overall PACS vendor by KLAS, according to DR Systems. The company received the number 1 overall PACS vendor ranking in 2001, 2006, 2007, 2010, and now 2011. In addition, in 2007, DR Systems was ranked the number 1 overall health care information technology vendor by KLAS.

KLAS, a research and consulting firm that specializes in monitoring and reporting the performance of health care information technology vendors, including PACS companies, gives the annual KLAS award that “signifies leadership in working with customers to resolve issues and match expectations to reality.” Health care executives, managers, and clinicians representing several thousand hospitals and clinics contributed feedback for the KLAS report.

DR Systems also now offers the Unity v|Series RIS. Both desktop and server virtualization-capable, the new RIS can be accessed from pre-existing PACS or RIS workstations as well as mobile/nonmobile computing devices. It employs industry-standard methods for single sign-on and exam synchronization.
