Parkland Health Goes Live with the Conexus Tracking System

Parkland Health & Hospital System and associated Parkland community clinics in Dallas have implemented the Conexus Inc asset management system, Plexus Vision.

Parkland and Conexus worked together to install the Plexus Vision system throughout the health care network. Now tracking location and utility data on more than 50,000 medical assets that have been labeled with passive RFID (pRFID) tags, Parkland can track up to 12,000 of its high-dollar assets using the state of the art, Ekahau real-time location system (RTLS) technology that has been integrated into the Plexus Vision system.

Plexus Vision’s tracking system utilizes a combination of Wi-Fi based real time active RFID, pRFID, and bar code technologies to track and manage assets and workflow. Designed to allow associated interfaces with other legacy systems, the Plexus Vision software scales from a single clinic or department to an entire enterprise.

Conexus Inc, a veteran owned, privately held business, delivers services specifically designed around the goals of asset management. The Conexus system won the Government Computing News award for 2009, and was nominated for the Top 5 DOD Program Awards in 2007.
