Medical Device Tech Text

Anthony Chan, a faculty member and program head at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Canada, has released a biomedical engineering education textbook titled Medical Device Technology: Principles and Design.

The 582-page volume can be used as a textbook or reference for biomed engineering education programs, or for professionals seeking to understand engineering principles, design, and applications of medical device technology.

The contents distill Chan’s knowledge gained from nearly 25 years working in the field, including 16 years on the faculty of BCIT’s biomedical engineering technology program. Published in January by Charles C Thomas Publisher, the book is available from the publisher, Amazon.com, and other online distributors.

Chan’s first book is titled Medical Technology Management Practice.
