Longmont, Colo.-based Acertara Acoustic Laboratories has named Levi Moore president and chief operating officer of the company.

Wayne Moore, Acertara’s CEO, spoke out about the appointment, commenting: “Levi has demonstrated exceptional skills, business acumen, and exemplary work ethics in operations development and executive level management within every component of Acertara’s business over the past six years.”

“In addition to running the day-to-day business of Acertara, [Levi’s] new responsibilities will include designing and implementing an even stronger and scaled operational foundation for our rapidly growing business segments, managing relations with our OEM partners, as well as defining, with the senior management team, future strategic initiatives and new product development,” Moore adds.

Along with being an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485 certified probe repair and test equipment development facility, Acertara is an ISO17025:2005 accredited laboratory performing acoustic power testing for ultrasound systems, probes, acoustic materials, and active implantables for regulatory submissions, addressing both FDA 510(k) and International Electrotechnical Commission requirements.

The company is also accredited for calibration services focused on ultrasound devices and test instrumentation, such as the FirstCall probe-testing device invented and designed by the Acertara R&D team more than 14 years ago.
