Ultrasound training provider Conquest Imaging has announced the opening of its 2017 season. The training registrar reports 15% of Conquest’s training seats were sold prior to the opening of the school year, prompting an additional ultrasound boot camp to be added to the calendar to accommodate the high demand.

“We can be confident classes will fill up quickly, especially with the addition of the E10 and Aplio 500 class this year,” says Jim Rickner, global training director at Stockton, Calif.-based Conquest Imaging. The addition of GE Voluson E10 and Toshiba Aplio 500 were part of the $100,000 technology investment announced earlier this year.

During Opening Day festivities, students and employees enjoyed using the new electronic white board and sampling the new technology. “The ‘real-world’ approach to training from a biomed’s perspective is what makes the difference,” Rickner says.

Hands-on instruction with actual Toshiba, GE, Philips, and Siemens systems in the classroom is an essential component to every training course offered. What’s more, Conquest will continue to offer scholarships to active duty military, veterans, the VA, and California Medical Instrumentation Association members.
