Healthcare IT integrator Iatric Systems and medical device maker Welch Allyn announced on February 19 a partnership to offer an automated system for sending confirmed vital signs and other data to electronic health records (EHRs) from Welch Allyn devices.
As part of the partnership, Welch Allyn will use Iatric’s Accelero Connect technology to automate how vital signs are captured and recorded in patients’ electronic charts. Through the system, practitioners can collect vital signs data, validate them, and send the confirmed results to any EHR system, regardless of vendor. The technology also supports point-of-care barcode scanning at the Welch Allyn device to confirm positive patient identification in the EHR system.
