Philip Settimi, MD
In an announcement timed to the HIMSS 2014 annual convention, PartsSource, Aurora, Ohio, today announced that Philip Settimi, MD, has been hired as the company’s president and CEO. Settimi replaces A. Ray Dalton, who will take on a new role as executive chairman, along with his previous title of Chairman of the Board.
Settimi most recently served on the executive management team of Hill-Rom as Chief Marketing Officer, where he was responsible for customer engagement, global product management, corporate strategy, and business development. Before joining Hill-Rom, Settimi led the Medical Device Strategic Business Unit at Hospira, and served as general manager and business leader at GE Healthcare IT. Settimi received his MD from the University of Michigan, where he also earned a master’s degree in biomedical engineering.

In a PartsSource press release, Dalton said that after 13 years heading up the company, he is “eager to spend more time with his family and focus on humanitarian projects with the Dalton Foundation. He will also remain an active investor in early stage healthcare opportunities.”
Settimi will be attending the HIMSS annual meeting in Orlando, Fla, where PartsSource is “conducting demos of its purchasing and cost-management solutions for hospitals and health systems to better manage spend, improve equipment uptime and maximize the efficiency of clinical engineering departments.” The company can be found in booth #356.
