To educate healthcare facilities about the challenges faced when designing a new patient care space, ECRI Institute is presenting an educational web conference, “Unlocking the Secrets to Successful Medical Equipment Planning,” on Wednesday, June 25.

The goals of the session are to help participants understand patient and staff safety considerations that come with medical equipment planning, recognize what to expect when planning and designing patient care areas, realize costs associated with a medical equipment planning project and OR integration, and comprehend what building information modeling is and how it can promote better collaboration.

The speakers for the session are ECRI’s Michael Linehan, director, medical equipment planning, and Jeffrey O’Neill, director of engineering services, Pennsylvania Hospital, University of Pennsylvania Health System. The event will be moderated by ECRI’s Erin Sparnon, Engineering Manager, Health Devices.

The webinar is scheduled to run from 1:00 to 2:30 pm ET on June 25.
