Exactech, a Gainesville, Fla.-based developer and manufacturer of bone and joint restoration products and biologic solutions for extremities, knees, and hips, earned the Second Place Best Clinical Podium Presentation Award at the International Society for Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery (CAOS) annual meeting, held June 6-9 in Beijing.

The award-winning study presentation demonstrated the potential for the company’s ExactechGPS to accurately manage soft tissue balance, bone cuts and overall alignment of the knee in joint replacement surgery.

“It was an honor to present several studies based on ExactechGPS and to receive this award, along with my co-authors, Yifei Dai and Guillaume Bras, of Exactech,” says orthopedic surgeon, David Liu, MD, of The Gold Coast Centre for Bone & Joint Surgery in Queensland, Australia. “This scientific meeting is unique in its focus on the role of navigation in orthopedic surgery. I am confident that this technology plays a major role in the outcomes of joint arthroplasty.”
