PartsSource announces the launch of PartsSource Pro 2020—which, company officials say, offers the industry’s first alternative equipment maintenance (AEM) database.

PartsSource Pro is a managed service model combining best processes, cloud-software, and logistical support for U.S. clinical engineering departments and supply chain organizations. With the introduction of PartsSource Pro 2020, members can receive three new benefits: a new virtual client community; an expanded Guaranteed Stock program for mission-critical medical products; and the AEM database.

“One of the biggest gaps in healthcare technology management is a way for clinical engineers to engage in peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, and access online training and content that addresses their specific challenges,” says Robert Tackett, director of clinical engineering at The MetroHealth System in Cleveland and a PartsSource Pro member. “I feel that the new PartsSource Community will have a huge impact from the peer-to-peer connections and valuable tools like the AEM database.”

The new PartsSource Pro online client community is designed to encourage knowledge-sharing among community members. Clients can access curated content comprised of the latest best practices, educational videos, and shared learnings. The platform also provides access to proprietary tools that support strategic initiatives, such as toolkits for capital planning, alternative equipment maintenance, and a growing repository of other ready-to-use toolkits designed to help clients implement key strategies for achieving high-performance HTM. Lastly, the online community lets clinical engineers connect with industry colleagues, exchange best practices. and obtain real-time insights.
