SonoSite Inc recently reported financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2010.
Fourth-quarter revenue was $89.3 million, which is an increase of 28% from the same time period in 2009. In 2010, the company earned $275.4 million in revenue, a 21% increase from the $227.4 million in 2009. The company’s US sector achieved an all-time high in quarterly revenue of $40.5 million, which is up 37% from the previous year. VisualSonics Inc, a division of Sonosite, accounted for $8.9 million of the company’s fourth-quarter revenue.
SonoSite’s fourth-quarter EBITDAS reflects non-recurring charges of $2.3 million, including charges related to acquisition and restructuring. Excluding these charges, EBITDAS was $19.6 million—22% of revenue—an increase of 74% over the prior year. Including these charges, EBITDAS was $17.7 million—20% of revenue—up 82% over the fourth quarter 2009.
