ECRI Institute is celebrating national health care risk management week by providing a free risk analysis article from its Healthcare Risk Control System, available for download online.
“Risk Management, Quality Improvement, and Patient Safety” provides guidance on the interaction between risk management and quality improvement, as personnel in both processes are rallying behind patient safety and finding ways to work together more effectively and efficiently to ensure that their organizations deliver safe and high-quality patient care.
Additionally, the article provides suggestions aligning risk management and quality functions, suggestions for presenting a business case to senior leadership, and sample scenarios of integrated approaches to risk management and quality.
