Toshiba announces that Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, Denver, has installed its Aquilion ONE dynamic volume CT system to help support its specialty pediatric and limb preservation departments.
The Aquilion ONE can image an entire organ like the brain or heart in one rotation, and show real-time function, including blood flow and movement, which helps shorten exam times and lessen radiation exposure for patients. The hospital acquired the Aquilion ONE to allow physicians access to dynamic images of limbs to better assess the viability, blood flow, and anatomical function.
Toshiba’s included SUREExposure pediatric software automatically measures the size and age of each patient and precisely tailors radiation dose to each individual patient, which the hospital says is especially relevant for its pediatric patients.
