In an effort to image all patients with the lowest possible radiation dose, Shore Medical Center, Somers Point, NJ, installed the Aquilion PRIME 160 with AIDR 3D from Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc, Tustin, Calif. Shore Medical Center utilizes Aquilion PRIME for all general and outpatient radiology exams.
Aquilion PRIME, an 80-detector row CT system, can generate 160 unique slices per rotation. The system features AIDR 3D, Toshiba’s third-generation iterative-dose reconstruction software, which incorporates an iterative reconstruction process, reducing radiation dose compared with conventional scanning.
