I have a Philips iE33. When in the CW Doppler mode, this unit will intermittently generate a tremendous amount of noise and static, audibly and visually. It uses an S5-1 transducer. We have changed transducers. We have moved the transducer to another connector on the input. I have duplicated this noise. When I apply probe to skin, it almost sounds like static on a AM radio during an electrical storm. Any suggestions? – Phil Mininni, Omaha, NE

CW noise in the iE33 can be challenging. We have identified several cold solder joints on the channel boards as the cause of most occurrences, but I have also been told the SSL board can cause this problem as well.
