One hundred and fifty facilities are now using eMix’s cloud-based service for sharing medical imaging studies and reports. eMix achieved this goal after only having been available to the medical marketplace for approximately one year.

eMix debuted in early 2010, when members of Image Movement of Montana (IMOM), a grassroots organization composed of Montana healthcare facilities, became the first institutions to go live with the service. Subsequently, eMix has been implemented in large urban urgent-care medical centers, rural hospitals, teaching hospitals, community hospitals, radiology practices, and imaging centers.

The vendor-neutral, cloud-based eMix technology enables secure sharing of images and reports among disparate institutions and physicians via the Internet. eMix provides eight layers of security to protect healthcare institutions’ patient data. New features of the eMix solution include automated report delivery to an EMR inbox and auto-upload and auto-address of exams.
