Medical imaging company Barco will supply Belgium’s Agfa HealthCare with some of its most advanced display equipment as part of a large-scale hospital digitalization project that will impact the radiology department and certain clinical departments of the University Hospital in Bonn (UKB) in Germany.

Besides diagnostic displays, the hospital has also ordered 80 units of the recently-launched Barco MDRC clinical review monitors with 1.3 and 2 MegaPixel color medical displays and preset DICOM-settings, which provide physicians with accurate grayscales, good contrast, and a wide viewing angle.

UKB will also install Barco‘s online quality assurance service, MediCal QAWeb. Staff can use the QA tool to access a full set of smart tools for display calibration, quality assurance, and hospital-wide display fleet management from a single location.
