Georgian Radiology Consultants, Barrie, Ontario, installed CARESTREAM DRX-1 systems at each of its six imaging clinics. The group is converting to an all-digital workflow that began with the implementation of a PACS and EMR, and is enhanced by the DR detectors.
The group selected Carestream’s cesium iodide DRX-1C detector because of its image quality advantages. “This detector offers exceptional DQE (detective quantum efficiency) that allows our clinics to produce extremely high-quality images at a lower radiation dose that ultimately benefits our patients,” said Drew Schemmer, MD, Georgian Radiology’s clinic director.
The DRX systems were purchased from and installed by BCL X-Ray Canada Inc, an authorized Carestream distributor.
