Accelarad’s medical image exchange site SeeMyRadiology.com announces a new three-part agreement with Georgia-based nonprofit network Gwinnett Medical Center (GMC) to provide clinicians and patients greater access to medical images.
The first part of the agreement will allow clinicians to continue viewing medical images, through the Web-based system, during PACS downtime.
In addition, the site will enable patients to access to their medical images directly, and to share and request images by uploading pictures to an online photo sharing site.
Lastly, the platform will connect GMC hospitals to their network of more than 5,000 referring physicians, eliminating the use of CDs for medical image exchange.
