Conquest Imaging, an ultrasound parts, repair, training, and service provider based in Stockton, Calif, has announced the launch of a depot repair service for multivendor portable ultrasound systems. The service will offer repairs for most major makes and models of portable and laptop-based ultrasound systems, according to the company.

“Portable ultrasound systems have continued to gain market share and capabilities at an exponential rate but until now, repair options have been expensive, time-consuming, and typically limited to the manufacturer,” said Matt Tomory, Conquest Imaging’s vice president of sales and marketing. “With this new offering, customers can now receive cost-effective repairs, Conquest Imaging quality, and rapid turnaround times so they can focus on their patients and their business.”

The company will initially offer fixes for GE, Philips, and Sonosite systems. Repair capabilities for other manufacturers’ systems will be introduced in the future according to market demand, said Tomory.
