Sonora Medical Systems Inc, Longmont, Colo, has racked up sales of its Acoustic Power and Intensity (API) testing suite to medical-device-testing entities worldwide—such as the Polish Academy of Sciences; Brazil’s National Institute of Metrology, Standardization, and Industrial Quality; the Korea Testing Laboratory; and the China National Metrology Laboratory.
API consists of a professional-grade acoustic-measurement tank with advanced-motion control, wideband PVDF hydrophones, Ethernet-based interface, and a LabView-based acoustic-measurement software analysis-and-report package.
Ultrasound OEMs, independent testing facilities, ultrasound research laboratories, and government regulatory bodies use API on standard diagnostic ultrasound devices and advanced therapeutic devices, such as high-intensity-focused ultrasound.
