Earlier this month, Toshiba America Medical Systems unveiled the Xario 200 Platinum Series ultrasound system at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America. A compact ultrasound system, Xario 200 allows for fast diagnoses in a variety of radiologic, obstetric, and cardiovascular exams.

The Xario 200 Platinum Series builds upon the Xario 200 platform and features Toshiba Medical’s advanced ultrasound technologies, such as Precision Imaging, Differential Tissue Harmonics, and Advanced Dynamic Flow. The new system comes with the added visualization benefits of Toshiba Medical’s Superb Micro-vascular Imaging (SMI), which provides advanced visualization of low-velocity microvascular flow.

By enabling physicians to see the most clinical information possible, the Xario 200 Platinum Series allows for early, confident diagnoses that can help improve clinical outcomes. The system also offers enhanced performance and workflow features, including a customizable panel and touch command screen, and one-button optimization and clinical parameter setting with Toshiba’s Quick Scan and Quick Start technologies.

“Toshiba Medical’s Xario 200 Platinum Series helps healthcare providers meet the demands of the changing healthcare environment by providing a cost-effective solution for advanced ultrasound imaging,” says Satrajit Misra, Toshiba’s vice president of marketing and strategic development. “With the addition of SMI, the new system prioritizes excellent patient care by making innovative imaging technologies available to a wider range of customers.”
