Would a dead CMOS battery cause the SCB to be unable to function? I’m about to replace SCB p/nt5022632; should I replace the CMOS battery first? I have the Voluson 730 Expert 2003, I have a memory access violation display and have gone through the steps of testing the memory, reloading software to new hard drive (to see if the problem was hard drive or software). The tech put the old one back as the same violation came up on the new reloaded hard drive). Thank you for any expert info you have.

The CMOS battery can prevent the Voluson from booting. You need to check the date within the BIOS to verify.
