The Bay Area Medical Center (BAMC) in Marinette, Wis, has installed an Infinix Elite cardiovascular x-ray system from Toshiba America Medical Systems. The new system enables the facility to provide patients with both interventional radiology and cardiology exams, as well as peripheral and cath lab procedures.

“When looking to update our technology, we needed flexibility without compromising image quality or the safety of our patients and staff,” said Jason Hayward, lead cardiovascular technologist at Bay Area Medical Center. “The versatility and dose management technology Toshiba offered, along with our experience with their support staff, gave us confidence that the Infinix system was the right fit.”

Equipped with a C-arm that can move safely around patients and clinicians, the system is designed to offer safer and more efficient exams. The system’s WorkRite ergonomic features increase precision and shorten exam times, while the Spot Fluoroscopy feature helps manage radiation exposure.
