Beginning November 3, 2013, radiologic technologists across the United States will be celebrating National Radiologic Technology Week. The celebration is held to coincide with the anniversary of the x-ray’s discovery by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen on November 8, 1895. The week of recognition is sponsored by the American Society of Radiologic Techonologists (ASRT) to call attention to “the important role medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals play in patient care and health care safety.” For more information, visit the ASRT website.
