Physio-Control Inc has acquired privately-held Jolife AB, developer and manufacturer of the LUCAS Chest Compression System. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Prior to the acquisition, Physio-Control had been the exclusive distributor partner for the LUCAS device. This acquisition allows Physio-Control to grow its presence in the automated chest compression device market and develop future devices.
The Jolife acquisition complements Physio-Control’s defibrillation solutions. Recent partnerships with BeneChill, AirStrip Technologies, and SonoSite serve to offer customers a diverse set of solutions to meet their requirements.
