The Healthcare Technology Foundation‘s 2016 clinical alarms survey will end May 15, the organization has announced. More than 1,000 responses have been collected to date.

Previously conducted in 2006 and 2011, the survey consists of 37 multiple choice and free-text questions involving work-related demographics and alarm information. It takes about 15 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous.

The 2006 survey led to the publication of Impact of Alarms on Patient Safety, while the 2011 survey received more than 4,000 responses, of whom 93% were clinical staff. The results of the 2011 survey are available on the HTF website.

The 2016 survey results will be presented June 5 during the AAMI conference at the Alarm Management Workshop, cohosted by AAMI and HTF.
