As part of the organization’s ongoing educational webinar series, the American College of Clinical Engineering (ACCE) will hold a number of upcoming sessions devoted to helping CE professionals meet professional challenges.

On December 10, 2015, Barbara Christe, program director for healthcare engineering technology management at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis and 24×7 editorial board member; Patrick Bernat, director of healthcare technology management for AAMI; and Michelle Baquie, clinical engineer at the VA Office of Healthcare Technology Management, will discuss “Continuing Education & Succession Planning in HTM.” The session will address issues such as training future clinical engineering professionals, how to develop and sustain a CE mentorship program, and the CE career ladder.

A January 14, 2016 session on “Medical Equipment Planning for Healthcare Construction” will explore how clinical engineering interfaces with architectural engineers, designers, project managers, and other key stakeholders during medical facility planning and construction. During the webinar, clinical engineers will also share their experiences with opening new hospitals and offer practical tips for attendees.

And on February 11, 2016, a Joint Commission update will educate attendees about the latest TJC and regulatory compliance changes for 2015 and 2016.
