The Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) announced last week that it has updated and expanded its online collection of sample healthcare technology management (HTM) documents. Provided to the association by clinical engineering departments from across the nation, the documents can be used as best-practice models. The types of documents include equipment inspection plans, corrective action plans, service agreements, departmental marketing brochures, and personnel policies.
In addition, the resources page includes a number of documents intended to help other biomedical societies and organizations manage their operations more effectively. The resources include accounting and tax guides, membership forms, advice on holding meetings and events, sample bylaws, and information on building effective websites.
Membership in AAMI is not required to access the revamped resources webpage.
